OBD2 PCM edit options

For an LT1, OBD2 (96/97) F-Body, what options are there for a package to go in and delete parameters that would set codes?

For instance, if I were to buy a complete LT1 motor and computer from a '97 Z28 and use a Painless wiring harness and install it all in a simple street rod, I would need to be able to access parameters in the PCM so that the motor would run and run correctly.

If tweaking performance was of no concern, which program/package best suits this need?

Re: OBD2 PCM edit options

You can either send your PCM in for reprogramming which is cheaper than buying the tuning program, or you can buy LT1_edit (which is the only option for 96-97 right now) for $550 and do the tuning yourself.

Most people choose to convert to OBD1 and then use Tunercat plus a regular converter cable (www.akmcables.com) to do the tuning themselves.
