OBD1/OBD2 Question
OBD1/OBD2 Question
I had a problem with a corupted file during programming and messed up my chip on my OBD1, (94 Z28 A4). Can I use a OBD2 computer in my car while I send it out to get it fixed, If so, what changes would I have to make. Does anyone know when software will be out to program the OBD2?
Thanks
Brian

No, don't use the OBD2. The tranny control is different in the '94 than the 95+.
Plus, the knock sensor isn't the same and your car will most likely run like crap due to knock being retarded to maximum.
If you don't want to wait, I can send you a computer ahead of time (requires a core charge, but it is fully refundable when I get your pcm back).... I fix them as well and also socket them.
