OBD1, Code 48 MAF Circuit Problem

This is the code I currently have thrown, I tried cleaning the MAF real good, but it didnt fix the SES light...Whats the problem??

You might have lost the power supply to the MAF. Key on, engine off pull the harness connector off the MAF sensor and check the pink wire for +12V. If you have power, check the rest of the connector for bent or corroded pins. If they are OK, swap in a known "good" MAF sensor.

I put in my cousins MAF to see if the SES light went away...and it did...So I guess I need to check the MAF out or get a new one
