My car has considerable mods, and I need to take it to inspection. The PCM in my car came from EBAY, I had it programmed by Bryan. I have an idea, my brother has the same car, with no mods, I have the original PCM, If i put it in his car, and take it to my buddies garage, can I get him to inspect my brothers car, with my PCM? I believe the PCM has the serial number stored in it! The only difference is mines a 6 speed, his is an A-4.

 

Are you assuming they won't look at the VIN through the windshield?

 

I know for sure he wont, as long as my PCM is logging in as my car, he will hand me the sticker.
