no temp reading

I realized this may be a better place for this thread than the LT1 forum...just today after I hooked my computer up to my pcm and used tunercat my temp gauge no longer reads anything. This to me is very strange as I'm pretty sure the sensor goes directly to the gauge and there is a separate sensor for the PCM. The only thing I changed with tunercat was my spedo calibration and changed the trans type to manual as it was before Auto. I changed it back and of course it didn't change the no temp problem. Any ideas??

Have you tested the sensor and the connections?

no thats on my list for tomorrow....I just thought it was a bit strange that it was working perfectly before I connected my laptop and didn't register anything after. Not to mention this was the first time I used tunercat

+1 Agree is strange.. the temp sensor on the head does not go anywhere near the PCM. It feeds the instrument cluster. Have you noticed anything else not working ? Easy to check.. to test wire, cluster & gauge, out pull the sensor connector, ign on-engine off ground the wire and the gauge should read full scale. To test sensor ign off, use ohms scale, pull connector test sensor terminal to ground >1300 ohms cold, < 100 ohms hot.
