Need help!(OBD2 to OBD1 swap)
I posted this in LT1 TECH but thought some one in here might be able to help.
Heres the short story. I bought a 96 Z28. I removed the motor from my 94 Formula and installed it in the Z. I also installed the OBD 1 ECU in the Z. The car starts and runs fine, but while at WOT and around 5000rpms you can feel a power loss. No Check eng. light or any thing. Now if you unplug the mass air and make the car run in failsafe it revs fine, all the way through the rpm range.
Now the question--- The only thing I did not change over to the 96 from the 94 is the wireing harness. Is there something in the harness itself that would cause a screwy readingto the ECU? Or if you think you know what might be the cause please post.
Thanks.
