Kyle, I figured out the one I sent you was correct. It was the same one TunerCat sent me when I requested it (you can ask them for it as well).
Problem I was having is now fixed. Some how my definetion file was set to $EEb so the injector size was all messed up (probably just when I viewed it, not you. If you still see them high then your using the wrong definetion file as well though yours is probably right). That and the Tools/Speed Calibration kept throwing me off. I thought the info in that was actual file readings, not that its just a tool used to set the ECM Constants.

Hal- I have that .bin in my car now. The ****ing is still a little weird. It shifts into 2 at about 40-50 tps hard but than into 3 weak. I was trying to get a stock file to compare it to mine. TC sent me a "stock" file but he was unsure of the gears that were in that file. The seedometer scales were wrong and I could't figure out what gears they were using.

Under Tools use the Speed Calibration calculator. It will set all that correctly in the ECM Constant table. Just set your gears and tire size then press Calculate and then Apply (leave all other setting alone or stock). That will change the ECM Table correctly and should then shift correctly.
OH, and if you look at the table- Main LIne Pressure Modifier Vs. Gear or the Line Pressure Offset Vs. %TPS -you might see what needs changing there.
Me, I use a resistor pack thats a little harsher then the B&M Shift Enhancer in its second setting AND just a little harsher table settings.

My car is a 3.42 6 speed and the when using the speedo calculator it gets totally different values for the speedo stuff in the ECM constants than what came stock in the file.
I don't know why it's off, but it is. And the file I got from PCMforless for a friends A4 3.42 car has different values than if you were to just input the stuff in the speedo calculator.
I'd sure like know why.

Dan-Thanks for the file. I asked Bryan (PCMFORLESS) why his file has different values than if I put them in it with Tunercat, He said it is because he uses LT1edit to do the speed part of the program and that LT1edit is more correct than TunerCat for the speedo. My thing is that you cannot just change gearing and tire size and have the car shift right, you need the MPH changes in the tables of you will be shifting at the wrong time. THat was the problem with the earlyer HPP. They would change the .bin so the speedo was right but they didn't compensate for the MPH changes that had to be made. If you have 2.73 and your car shifts from 1-2 a t 17MPH and you switch to 3.73 you may need to shift at 12MPH to be shift at the same RPM. THose numbers are just examples and are not right, but you get the drift. That is why I have been looking for stock 3.23 tables. (THANKS AGAIN) Now I will make my changes from a stock file. Some of the files that I have been useing, only the speedo was corrected for gear change and not the MPH tables. I am still trying to figer out how at WOT the car shifts by RPM so I can ajust that. I look in all the trans tables, but you have to be careful, if you make a change in one table you have to make the changes in 2-3 other tables or it will shift weird. I am working with all these table to get the best posible combo for 3.23 so I can give the .bin to everyone with 3.23. Than after that I will do it for 3.42 (In my friends car) and give that .bin out. Everyone .bin's that they send me are so different for the trans section, that they all have something "wrong" with the way they shift. IT might be that they sfift great everywhere except at 1/3 throttle at 23 MPH they shift to hard. So I am trying to get the perfect shifts for Normal/Performance Mode 3.23 that I can. If anyone has done this long procedure and thinks that they have the perfect 3.23 shift points please email me. But until than I will work on them so that everyone can benifit. Hopefuly someone has done the same for Fuel/Timing for different mode so we can combine the .bins. Thanks again. If anyone has any imput please email me!

Kyle,
Thanks for the info on the speedo stuff. I wonder if Tunercat has any way to fix that.
For the WOT rpm stuff....you have Tunercat right? If so, go to calibration help and ECM constants and checkout Kickdown Shift points and see if that's what you're looking for. Sounds like it.
What are you looking for for the 3.42 gear program. I have one that the shift mph and rpm stuff is good in, but it's only setup for stock shift firmness. But I also have Ryan94Z's shiftfirmness bin that I'm waiting to try in a friends car and see how it shifts.
