map not 100kpa at wot

Does anyone know what would cause the map to not read 100kpa at wot?
I've checked and I don't have any obvious vaccuum leaks. The car idels fine.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Re: map not 100kpa at wot

My car is running more timing that it was programmed for. The way I understand it is that if the map doesn't reack 100kpa at wot the coresponding timing table will not be used. My car is pulling 7 degrees of timing up top. When I looked at the tune it was tuned for less timing them it was seeing.
I hope this helps you understand what I'm saying
Thanks,
Kory

It will also depend of the altitude above sea level you are located at.
I live at a 5000 ft location an get readings of 80 kpa at wot.
When I go to the track at sea level I get readings in the vicincty of 96 kpa.

MAP should be equal to the ambient MAP at the lower RPMs at WOT. As you get up around 5,000 to 6,000 RPM Map begins to fall off due to the LT1 Intake. I loose about 6 or 7 KPA at 6800 RPM. I guarentee I have no CAI restrictions. My CAI is 4" all the way with a 7" dia X 9" long K&N. I've eliminated the MAF sensor and done everything possible to eliminate this 7 KPA loss. It's gotta be in the intake design.

Thanks for the info guys. It looks like I misunderstood the way it worked. I have gotten 95 or 96 kpa. I guess thats all I'm going to get.
Thanks for the clarification.
