Manual fan switch no longer works after PCM retune.

This is something that hapenned a while ago but I never bothered trying to figure it out. After getting my PCM retuned by PCMforless, I noticed my SLP fan switch wasn't working anymore, but it was still plugged in and properly installed. Any reason why this would happen?? Maybe something in the PCM overriding it?

Anyways I just removed it today I guess I'll just sell it since there is no need for it anymore, motor runs cool enough as it is, although I would have liked to be able to turn the fans on whenever I want. Removing the switch won't disturb the PCM right? The fan switch is just plug and play and it looks like the PCM wasn't working with it anyways so... but just making sure though.

Thanks alot.

That's strange - with the switch in the center position fans should operate at the PCM settings. If it won't turn on the low or high speed manually with the car off something's wrong?

Yeah that was exactly the case.

Before selling it I'd try plugging it in to another car to make sure it's not the switch.

Good idea.

And removing it won't mess with the PCM right?

Removing it shouldn't affect the PCM settings at all.
