I gotta question. I have a 94 LT1 camaro. I bought some reprograming software from PCM FORLESS. IM having problems getting the info from my computer to my OBD1 computer in my car. Now heres the big question. ON THe Hypertech PROGRAMER 3 which I have. I noticed that theres a (POWER PORT) underneatheath the programmer. CAN SOMEONE tell me what this is? Whats its used for? And is there a way that I can Download INfo to that POWER PORT Thus downloading the info that was downloaded from my computer. TO the my CAR (OBD1) thanks

That port was for custom tuning which I understand hypertech no longer offers.

 

Is that where the scanner module plugs in to the programmer?

 

Don't you need a cable to go from laptop to PCM to download the program from Bryan? Were there no instructions with the program you got from him? If not, maybe someone else can verify, but i think you have to get a cable from www.akmcables.com

 

Yeah man. There is a cable that I have to have. What I was trying to do is save some money. THey wont 60 bucks for that cable and its suppose to mate up with my Hypertech Cable. I had a Male to Female adaptor allready (THe hypertech Cable) So at first I bought a 15db pin Male to Male gender adaptor using the game port. Came up Cable Error!! Then we used the seriel port. Using the 9pin. Well I had a boat load of adpators on the 9 pin to fit a 15 pin. Cable error. SO looks like I have info not getting translated right. IMA just buy that 60 cable and call it good.
