MAF problems

Not sure if this is computer or MAF related.

Above about 220 AFGS, my MAF will freak out and go max reading and immediately min reading, within the space of 0.2 seconds and back and forth like this. I have replaced the MAF and same thing.

Here is what is wierd: If I am calibrating the MAF (and disabling PE mode to do so), the car will buck as it should because of intermittent lean conditions it is seeing and trying to maintain a certain BLM. However, once I have PE mode back on, the car runs smoothly while in PE mode. I have BLM locker just as an FYI.

What should I be considering as an issue?

Is it possible the MAF is getting wet?

None.

Further note, the O2's are reading a consistent rich condition as they should while in PE mode...meaning that they are not going rich and then lean as the MAF is indicating. Again, this is PE mode.

PE mode disabled, the car will cut out from lack of fuel.
