I understand the OBD1 and OBD2 differences but which is a better program for LT1?

I'll move this over to the Programming forum.

I have LT1 Edit and like it. However, I understand that each program has its own benefits.

LT1's were obd-I up thru 95 and obd-2 96-97. Tunercat is only available for obd-1. I use it and I believe it has the same functionality as LT1-Edit. It is much cheaper, too.

Actually Nathan i would say they are about the same. Ive never heard bad things about either one. So i dont see how you could go wrong. And since the Tunercat is cheaper that might be you best way to go.

One costs less, one costs more, the end results are the same.

Tunercat is not limited to 1 VIN #, LT1 edit is and it cost $100 to add a VIN #. Also tunercat can be used on other GM vechiles if you have the right equipment and tuner def file. Tuner cat also has the ability to delete more codes. As for the OBD II cars, there's been talk that they are working on a .tdf file for them as well. I just dont know what they have planned for an interface.
