A couple of us guys up here had our PCM's reflashed by a mechanic here who has Tunercat. Somehow we each lost our speedos afterwards. Everything else works fine. I have a 97SS that I put Jet Hot LT's on and a cam. I also have Madwolfs OBD1 conversion. My other friend has a 95T/A and he put AI heads and cam. We both lost our speedos during the reflash. Any Ideas?

 

I need the help as i am doing the tuning, this is the latest V of TC, and i am tuning with EEB file to lock in the BLM for WOT, the only thing i changed is the tire size in each of there tunes this is the only thing i can think of ....i can make a copy of there files and email somone if they would like to have a look..

 

Well it's obviously an error in the DEF file it seems not inputting the right data for the speedo calculations.

The latest version of the DEF file I used that works just great and has all the features mentioned I included for you peeps to download on this link both EE and EEB files:

I know this sounds crazy, and might/prob not work. Maybee disconnect the speedo connector on the tranny and drive it and then plug it back in. What do you have to lose. Just a thought. Or upload the original tune if you saved it.

Thanks for the input so far. I do have my original untouched OBD2 pcm but kinda scared to try it with the cam i have in it and I do not have the rear O2 sensors. Scared to create codes in this PCM and then not be able to clear them. Our friend is Schurters LT1 up there and we first thought that the speedo on my other friends car went for a crap but now that my speedo went **** up we know its something in the download. I started this thread in hopes of relaying the info to our tuner but glad he has tuned in himself . We have all confidence in you oh guru of tuner

 

Don't put the obd2 computer back in. Still use your obd1. When he programmed your obd1, he should have made a back up copy of the tune that was in it before he flashed it. Upload that back into the PCM.

Sorry every time i try and add new files/updates it takes me like 1hr can you give me a step by step on how to install the update

I have never had a speedo error where the speedo failed to work at all. I would suggest going back to the original cal that was read from the PCM to see if the speedo regains conciousness.

If not email me the VIN from those PCMs and I can send you a fresh GM file that you can work with.

Try the DEF file I posted, you shouldn't have any problems.

Just did the reflash, well i should say try. killed the pcm? this is the frist one in like 2 years

well need to get it fixed.....
