Looking for a dyno tuner in Phoenix/Tucson area.

Does anyone know of a good Dyno tuner in and around the Phoenix/Tucson area?

Nothing even close to local for me, so I'm thinking I'll go drive over to that area, but don't want to just pick a random shop lol. Would really like some recommendations.

Would really like wideband

Yeah there's a guy here in Tucson, I don't personally know if he's any good or not. I was asking around my car group and he was recommended. I talked to him once and he sounds like he know's his stuff, and I think he said he charges like $100 for a base dyno tune or something like that.

I don't have his number anymore, but I can get it if you need it. Honestly if you have a laptop just get a ALDL to USB cable for like $20 and a copy of TunerCat and/or DataMaster and have at it.

I have all that, and I have made some improvements, but nothing will compare to actually tuning it while on a dyno.

Plus I keep hearing 383s are a pain to nail just right.

What is it you are going to tune for on the dyno? AFR can be dialed in without a wideband. Are you looking for WOT timing on the dyno? That is one I would suggest doing.

Yes WOT, have been talking to a guy at ADS, looking at $150 an hour for tuning while on the dyno.

Says they have wideband and have done quite a few 383 LT1s.

Main problem is the car has had quite a lot of mods done, some I don't even know about lol, but it still has all stock tables, so it runs pretty crappy compared to what it's capable of.

I'm doing a full tune-up before I take it down there.

What are they saying? Mine runs phenomenally well and I don't even have it tuned perfectly yet. Granted my years of tuning knowledge helps.

Maybe for ease of getting somewhere quick, I would suggest a mail order tune and then going from there to get into the finer details of part throttle tuning yourself. Everything needed to do so is in this forum. All your questions you would have have been asked many times.

My feeling is you are thinking a dyno tune will fix your part throttle imperfections and this is just not so. Correct me if I am wrong on this.

No actually it runs quite well considering haha, but I have almost no tuning experience.

I'm looking for someone more experienced than me to tune it in person.

I'm looking for best top end numbers at WOT without going to lean.

Again, you don't need a wideband to confirm you are not lean.
