Question TP sensor

I have a 95 LT1 383 stroked trans am, with a 4l60E transmission, i recently set my tp sensor to .67 volts because thats what i was told was the correct reading for my set up. now the car seems to be idling quite a bit higher and the shift point from 2nd to third seems to be higher or delayed now as well. before i changed the voltage i didn't have this problem and it was set at .92 volts. could this have changed it that much? if so does anyone have any suggestions of what i should do.
