Left and Right pulse widths are different, yet BLM's and INT's are locked to 128??
Left and Right pulse widths are different, yet BLM's and INT's are locked to 128??
I'm working on tuning a 93 383 (speed density) and I've decided to basically run it in open loop. I've set the min and max blm's and int's to 128 so they never vary no matter what cell I'm in. This basically gives me an open loop tune while still utilizing the PE tables for WOT.
The problem is that the injector pulsewidths are almost consistently different between the left and right bank. I would think that with the blm's and int's locked to 128 the pulse widths will always be the same on both banks. In one frame the left pulse width is 3.45 mS while the right is only 3.06 mS which I feel is a pretty big difference.
Im wondering what could be causeing this? Are there any other parameters that could affect only one bank of injectors and not the other?
I can send Datamaster files to anyone that wants to look at them.
Thanks for any help,
Rob

You may want to reset the computer over night then retry it.
I've noticed the same thing but its hardly a concern. Anthor thing is don't pay too much attention to what datamaster says about DC I know its off.. I assume it very well can be off in PW also.

Keep in mind that all the sensor readings in a frame are not recorded at the same instant in time. The scanner steps through the readings one at a time. It could show differences from one bank to the next, if engine load changed in the intervening fraction of a second.
