leaning a/f ratio ( mass air)

ok so i went to table #3 &#4 for the maf in tunercat, subtracted 1,3 5 ,7 ,11 ,13 ,17, 20 , with a peak of 20 through9040-9552 starting at 8272 hz to 10320 hz at or about 2500 to 3000 rpm , the motor would have a very big miss, and then pull hard, did not like that, so went back to stock on the maf tables, what did I do wrong, by the way the miss would happen when going to wot, after that no miss to 6400? still need to lean it out some any suggestions?

not trying to change the subject here but can someone tell me how to tell what rpm you change in the maf because all i see is a freqenecy. how do you tell where your working and at what you are changing.

say you have a hesitation at 2000rpms what freqency on the maf table do you change to affect the 2000rpm range.

You're not looking for rpm in the maf tables, you're looking at air flow. The columns on the right side indicate air flow in grams per second. Your datalogger should also tell you.
Say you idle at 10 g/s and your blm's are both 140...to bring the blm's down you'd want to increase the air flow values right around 10 g/s in your maf table. That will tell the computer that it is seeing more air and it will add more fuel. Make sense?

to lean the a/f ratio, too rich up top ,in the 910mv to 940mv would like to get them down some , to mabey 850's

to find out what freq =rpm, I run freescan to look at the maf flow, in gm's per sec, then scroll over to what rpm your at and look at the gms per sec , that's it. then look at the maf tables in tunercat beside the freq # is the maf #in gms per sec

The maf tables will not change your fueling at wot. You can correct the table to bring your blm's down or up, but once you hit a certain tps setting it's all in the pe tables.

Fbod, unless you are tuning with the use of a wideband, forget WOT AFR tuning. You will not accomplish what you want. I will now repeat as I have many times in the past: you cannot PE tune with our 02's. Our 02's are accurate at 14.7:1 ratio and that is it. Even a 0.1 variance will fluctuate it wildy. In addition, your 910mv is a different AFR than my 910mv because they are not designed to work at those extremes. They have 1 purpose: 14.7 AFR.

Here Dan K and I discussed what you want to accomplish. It is up to you to determine if the methodology will work for you, but I personally would like to see someone else do it.
