Laptop question

I currently have 92 corv. eng. and ecm but have been thinking about going to 94 PCM for tuning ease. I don't have a laptop but will be looking for a used one but need to know what I should look for. Actual serial port, Windows version, power and how many data logging software programs for 1. 92-93 ecm 2 94-95 pcm. It seems there are many more for the 94-95. Any help greatly appreciated.

TTS datamaster is out there for logging on all OBD1 LT1's.
and your just a chipburner away from being able to tune yourself. Not to mention having to deal with burning up OBD1 computers while trying to reflash them.
