Anyone have an adaptor to power your laptop from the cigarette lighter?

I got mine at compusa But I think I have seen them at most of the local auto stores ( discount auto, Pep boys, auto zone)

If all else fails your local Car Stero installation shop is GARUNTEEED to have them.

below is the list i KNOW who carries them

Best Buy
Comp USA
Circuit City
Brandsmart
WALMART <~ LOL but seriously
Pep Boys

It looks like a small speaker amplifier, basically it plugs into tour cigg lighter and converts it to 110v AC. Allows you to power SMALL things such as Laptops, Game consoles, and other small things. DO NOT LET YOUR GF TRY AND PLUG HER HAIR DRYER INTO IT !! LOL You will blow every fuse your car ever had !!! (not really)

Dude, buy a power inverter off of ebay. Should be about 30 bucks. Avoide the lighter adaptors if you want to keep your laptop for any period of time.

It's going to sound kinda funny, but the best place to pick on up is at Menards. They have 350-400 watt inverters for like $35. It comes with the cigarette adapter (only allows up to 150 watts, but it's enough to power a laptop) as well as a direct positive and negative battery connector so if you need those extra watts (say to power an air compressor). And it has 2 outlets on it. Most of the computer places ones cost the same, but they only have 1 outlet and are like 100 watts.
