It is real easy to do, and you are correct, it allows you to swap back and forth as you wish.
Also, the price. Resistor packs are $1.99 at Radio Shack. A bit of solder and you are done. I never figured out what to do with the extra resistors, though.
As a matter of fact, if you decide to do this I will send you a couple in the mail. Just PM your name and address. I can even send a short bit of solder if you do not have access to any.

I emailed ION @ Madtuner today and he is going to socket the board and put in the resistor for me.

I would just tap the block and put the OBD1 KS next to the OBD2 and swap the plug
to swap PCM's
No need to tap the block, just use the block drain on the left side of the block. This is where the Y-body cars place the second sensor.
