Innovative LC-1?

http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/lc1.php

It says you can use multiple LC-1 units to tune individual cylinders. Just hoping someone could explain how this is done. It's just a cable to plug into a pc which reads the wideband O2 sensor(included), right? Or does it read the pcm? Does the pcm store or just monitor sensor readout? It would seem that you'd have to have an O2 sensor somewhere on each cylinder to be able to individually tune cylinders, right? There are only 2 front and 2 rear O2 sensors, right

Yes, it appears to be a wideband logging solution.

You could tune individual cylinders by welding an O2 sensor bung where each cylinder's exhaust port connects into the exhaust manifold/header. If an individual cylinder was leaner or richer you adjust the individual cylinder trim feature in the PCM to get all cylinders running the same AFR.

So you have to use a software program to chage values, right? Clink on the LM-1 link in the link I provided. Maybe you can change values with that?

Correct, you need to use PCM tuning software to change the values. The LM-1 is a device that can interpret the signals from the LC-1 and display them without a computer.

I really need to get a wideband heh I'd love to have a set of longtube headers with 8 wideband bungs and plugs to plug them when the widebands are out... maybe some vendor should produce that.

What it says is:
You can even tune individual cylinders by using multiple LC-1 kits.
It just "reads" the A/F ratio, it doesn't "control" anything. If you want to tune 8 cylinders simultaneously, you would need to buy eight LC-1 kits, and software that allows you to tune your own PCM.

or.... how deep are your pockets? The ST-12 is $2000 plus $300 per channel for the O2 sensor/controllers (and again, the "controller" is controlling the sensor, not your A/F ratio):

If I pay a shop to tune my vehicle with the install of a turbo, won't they have their own hardware and software? So, unless I plan to do my own tuning, I don't need this stuff, right?

They had better have the hardware and software! ;-) Most shops use a wideband in the tailpipe or stock O2 sensor bungs rather then tuning each cylinder individually.

Talked to someone who has this setup, hes claiming the o2 sensor is a 5v o2 sensor out of a 1.8 vw fwiw.

Oh yeah, the shop I dyno tune at said their wideband uses the same sensor. I guess it's less then half of the price it costs to buy it from dynojet.
