I put a 97 OBDII computer into a 93 OBDI car.

So when i hook up the scanner it conects and reads/resets the trouble codes but it will not read the live data like 02 settings and such.

I am guessing i might have the data wire (if thats the right one) in the wrong port or i need to rewire that wire to somewhere.

Perhaps you have a code reader and not a scanner. Maybe more info on what you really do have would help.

 

I have Auto tap hooked up to my laptop, i used it on the same computer alot of times and tested it on a friends car just to make sure it was still working.

Does anyonw know if the wire that sends the SES light info is the same one that sends the current sensor readings?
