How to save stock programing, updating to MADZ28 tune.
Hey Im getting a MADZ28 Unlimited Email package tune and I was wondering how do I save the STOCK file, you know my stock settings before the computer tunes.
I do have freescan and the akm cable, I just want to know how to save my stock programming.

you have to have tunercat ( www.tunercat.com ) or lt1 edit
( www.carputing.com )
freescan only scans the car it does program the pcm. you have one of the 2 to upload the file in the pcm

I have tunercat but it does not work for some reason... I cant even get into the ECM on the tool bar, can you tell me how I could do it?

Well I have the whole 9 yards of tuner cat, if they gonna charge me more in somthing I paid a good buck for then WTF you know, I shoulda got it all...
Whats the definition file name BTW? Maybe I have it on the comp bu tit just got moved.

you have to have a def file to read or program your pcm. how much money did y send tunercat if it was 65 bucks you didnt get the def file you got tunercat and you have to have both.
ion can fix you up. with tunes but you have to have the def file, it more or less recognizes what pcm you are working with. and you need ee$ def file
