Check your mail for a bin file.

Does the pocket programmer software tell you that the file was burned correctly? It should say something like...."Device programmed" or something...can't remember exactly.

I've figured out this much. The place didn't send me a 29c256 chip, they were out of stock so they sent me a replacement.

Everything seems to go fine with the programming, it says device is programmed. I move the eprom to the hard drive and open it in tunercat, everything seems good.

The ecm is just not reading the eproms. When i program one in my desktop out of windows 2000 the ses light just blinks, car won't run.

When i use my laptop with win95, the ses light stays on. I could take the eprom out and it makes no difference.

This is really getting on my nerves.

Are you putting the chip in w/ the correct orientation?
Are you sure the chip is pushed all the way in?
If you can answer yes to both of those....then you've got a bad chip.
On my GN, I just got a chip from one of the more respected tuners and got a bum chip. He said that if the car runs really rought and the SES is on...odds are it's a bad chip.
And he's gotten quite a few bad chips lately.
Might want to try another chip.
