Question Has anyone had a problem with the Epromer-5????

For some reason when I program chips. About 3 days later the check engine light comes on. It loses a connection with the chip. I am using the Epromer-5. Someone told me that there was some problems with that programer and AT29C256 chips. Does any one have any advice? BTW i thought it was my chip losing connection
so i sodered it to the socket. Didn't work. In the process of tryin to desoder it i messed up the eprom side of the memcal. Thank god for adaptors!

I haven't had a problem with it at all. When you tried to desolder it do you think you could have screwed anything up on the stock memcal?

DO you use at29c256 chips? The memcal was fine. I would put the stock chip back in or go and reburn the at29c256 and it would run fine.
