Guys running NOS and tuning themselves, quick question inside please...

Just got a NOS LT1 dry kit for my camaro. I'm using Tunercat and was wondering whats a general tuning change for the nitrous as far as WOT fuel and timing changes. How much do I increase fuel and where do I make the changes and also how much do I scale back my timing and which tables to I change for that? You help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I don't use a dry kit but I think I can help.

If you have the normal NOS dry kit, it takes care of AFR by it's own restrictor in the FP regulator line.

If you change your PCM tune, then you won't be running optimally NA. Like removing timing, for example.

The best way would be to get a timing retard box. As for the air:fuel ratio, you may be able to get different size fuel jets if you end up running too rich or lean with the stock ones. It's easy to do with NX wet kits.

Hope this helps.

As noted above, the NOS 5176 dry kit has all the parts it needs to adjust fuel flow. You leave your PCM tuned for optimal N/A operation. The nitrous pressure signal, from the blue low pressure regulator put a pressure on the FPR vacuum connection, and increases the fuel pressure to increase the amount of fuel that flows for a given pulse width. The PCM is still calculating pulse widths based on N/A tune.
