GMS MAF and Programing questions

I have herd and read a lot about the good and bad of modding the Stock MAF and or using a GMS MAF sensor. I want to ask all you programmers out there what your thought are on this.
I currently have a problem with Split BLM's and I don't know where to start my trouble shooting. I have a GMS MAF on there now but had no problems with it before.
Is it best to run a stock MAF?
I plann on doing some data logging when I get all the hardware and software but for now I can only read and ask questions.

As for the Split BLM's. I have a fuel leak on the Fuel rail schrader valve. could that be causing this problem? Right side is maxed out at 160 and Left side is usually 10-25 lower.

Last question. I need to know what kind of laptop I need to do this data logging and possible PCM tuneing. I already have a cable from AKM. What kind of port must the computer have?

Dought the valve is causing a problem but you need to fix that asap....not a very safe situation. If you still have the stock MAF I would put it back on just to eliminate the MAF as the problem. The GMS is a waste of money IMO anyway.

Now that I think about it if your fuel leak is bad enough it could cause your fuel pressure to be lower and that would result in higher BLMs(adding fuel). I dont think the split is bad enough to worry about....but its hard to tell for sure with one side maxed out at 160.

You need a serial port....if you laptop dosnt have one you can get a pcimia serial port card for it.
