ghost codes

i have all kinds of codes at most times the last time i pulled them i had 12 codes, i am told they call them ghost codes i am replacing my pcm and i hope that fixes it i am wondering if anyone has heard of this if so any help is great thanks

Multiple codes can often be caused by faulty engine and PCM grounds.

check the powers and grounds to the computer. just because they are tight does not make them good. common for multiple codes. cheapest fix also

i cleaned all the ground and the codes are still there i will try a ecu and see what happens my bud is a parts man so i can get 25 percent off still 225 is alot if it doesnt fix it.

Did you clear the codes? Most will not clear by themselves. What are you using to read them?

i jumped the connector it took a bit before the codes came back because my fan stayed off for like 3 min but after that they came on again and whenever i start if they come right on. my understanding is they come on when there is hard codes.

i am buying a ecu from chevy for 250 so i hope it fixes the ghost codes i will tell you what happens when my new ecu comes.
