First Gen Camaro...C5 Vette Guages
First Gen Camaro...C5 Vette Guages
I know this post doesnt really belong in the fourth gen area, but i figured u guys might be able to help me out.
I have a 69 camaro and i thought it would be pretty clean if i put some new corvette guages in my first gen. Does anybody know if this is even possible? Would i have to get all the sensors and computer from the corvette and somehow hook them up to the first gen drivetrain to get them to work?
just curious,
Greg

Anyhow, I'd start by getting a Wiring Schematic on that Vette Cluster. Every sensor on that car is almost found on any late model GM car.
You'd have to adapt the VSS for the speedo, 1 Wired Coolant sensor for the Temp, tach wire for Tach, power etc...
Everything is pretty straight foward once you get the wiring diagrams. You'll need a good ohm meter and make sure the voltage for every sensor is in range.
I'm sure almost every sensor will run through the Vette PCM, but the PCM shouldn't be needed, let me know how this goes.
