Re: failed program

Easy fix for the hyperjunk is to throw it in the trash... seriously.

The PCM however is a little tricky. You have to send it off to somebody like madwolf to have it fixed. Or you could try to find one on ebay.

Re: failed program

I may be able to fix both. The PCM for sure though. Were you trying to use the Hypertech over the custom tune? It would have probably overwritten it anyway.

Re: failed program

If the hypertech won't connect and the computer won't run the car, you erased the EPROMs and didn't write the tune back to it. This can happen anytime you lose power while programming. I ALWAYS make sure I have good connectivity prior to programming by reading at least once. If you have a weak battery, DO NOT ATTEMPT it.

That being said, on OCCASION, resetting everything can fix it. It's highly improbable though. Usually you need a new computer. Use the other one you have. The hypertech is probably now useless, as from now on it will think you are trying to program someone else's car. Hypertech USED to allow you to send it back and get it fixed for a nominal charge. I would ONLY recommend doing this if you plan on selling it to some other unsuspecting soul through ebay or the like.
