ECM going bad

is there any part of the obd2 ECM that could go bad, like something in the cercuitry, that would cause a cylinder to misfire?

i'm not getting any SES codes other than multiple misfire on 2 cylinders...always the same ones. and i'm wondering if there is something in the computer that could have fried that is causing this.

i know certain parts of a desktop computer ECU can go bad, so is it possible on the car computer?

and yes i've checked plugs/wires/coils/etc...
