I found this thing on e-bay, and I would like to know your opinion about it. Does this device do any good, or just bs.?

IMO, buying electronics to "fool" the computer is a waste of time. Better to achieve results with re-programming. That way, you will get just what you want.

It will not help. Their example of gaining 200 lb-ft of torque on an LS1 at 50% throttle position is pure bunk, and misleading. They could have achieved exactly the same result by simply putting the pedal to the floor.

The point at which the PCM moves from closed loop to open loop (actually a misnomer.... it goes from closed loop to "Power Enrichment" mode) is a variable percentage, based on engine RPM. At low RPM, it might take 70% TPP to move into PE mode (richer target A/F ratio), and at 5,000rpm, it might only take 35%

Stock LT1 programming is:

<2,800 66%
4,000 38%
5600 28%

The PCM also responds to the opening throttle (as measured by the TPS) to determine the degree of enrichment to the A/F ratio. Stock programming is already TOO RICH (typically 11.7:1 at WOT), so the very last thing you want to do to an LT1 is "fool" the PCM to think the throttle is further open than it really is.... it would just put it into the "too rich" PE target A/F ratio all that much sooner.

You could get a much better power gain in even a stock LT1 by simply leaning out the PE mode target A/F ratio with a reprogram - a proven quick 15HP.

Save your money for a tune, or a copy of LT1_Edit. JMHO.
