does a reman. LT1 pcm need to be reflashed?
I am looking into getting a remanufactured pcm from GM Parts Direct. It is for my Mom's 96 LT1 Formula. Does it need to be reflashed for her car? Or do they just plug and play? It a A4 with 3.23 gears.
Madwolf,
You sound like the guy I need to talk to;
1. what do you charge?
2. The pcm in the car now has a Ed wright tune which is now making the car run funny, plus the self diagnostic capability is gone. Can you return this pcm to stock? The dealer will only work on a remanfactured one for a total of $500

Well, I charge $75 + return shipping which would include some mods done to the programming. You can check my order page for details on that.
If all you want is to return Ed's PCM back to stock, then I'd charge $50 + return shipping. (I might need to pull the chips and reprogram for that depending on what degree Ed did his best to mutate the files)
