Different ways to get IAC count

What are the defferent ways and methods to get IAC count for idle verification setup? Can IAC count be supplied by a GM/garage mechanic? I know that ScanMaster supplies? Does Autoenginuity GM enhanced product supply? Etc?

My autoxray has the IAC steps so I assume any scanner with the generic data will show this value.

All you need is the correct scanner. A GM mechanic would have access to a Tech 2, which would allow him to scan the PCM and retrieve IAC counts. Any scan hardware or software that goes beyond trouble code reading will be able to get the IAC counts.

What year is your car?

I have two obdii compliant scanners, and neither one gives iac count. The one allows to input gm enhanced requests, but I have know idea how to get a list of these.

usually you have to pay extra for enhanced OBDII parameters which is where you will find the IAC counts. Contact your scanners manufacturer...for instance: Auto X-ray has a code that can be keyed into the scanner to unlock the enhanced OBDII parameters however they will charge you $50 for the code.
