diagnostic troubleshoot codes

My car wont start. The battery is fine and all accessories work(radio, lights, etc.) The SECURITY light on the Instrument Panel comes on. I entered BCM diagnostic mode (as instructed here) and the Diagnostic Troubleshoot Codes i saw were the usual 12,then 31 (courtesy light ground shorted), 33 (courtesy light battery shorted, and 35 (Security Indicator Status.) The first digit of these DTCs being a 3 represents a "history codes" rather than "current code" because of one of two reasons:
The fault is an intermittent failure.
OR
The fault exists in a system which is not currently being operated

I am having trouble figuring out what the next step is or what exactly this means. Anyone with any suggestions would be very helpfull.
