Diacom blues, won't connect...

Anyone have any idea why diacom won't connect to my car? We called Rinda and they verified that we have the right cable, we tried 4 different computers, cleared all the codes by re-seting the computer, and tried every possible combination of com-port settings.

Anyone?

Haven't got a clue but I'll throw some things your way and maybe they will spark an idea.

Connection problem between computer and diagnostic port in the vehicle.

Computer programming for mods left out part of the communication protocol.

Aftermarket computer uses different protocol.

Sorry couldn't be of more help

Good luck to you. I envy you having a Y body.

Connection problem between diagnostic port. Hmmm. We tried a couple differnt computers. Anyoen shed some light on this?

Program is from PCMforless.com. I doubt he left out stuff, but maybe...

Stock computer.

Thanks for the props on a Y-body. To be straight up honest though, I was happier with my 99 TA Ws6.

The connection problem I was refering to was possibly between the PCM and the diagnostic port. I think you can rule out the cable and the computer connections.

You might want to try in someones completely stock car first.

Your Diacom will connect to several different types of cars. Try another car and see if you can get it to connect. You can then narrow down the problem to either Diacom or your car

I'll move this to the programming/diagnostic forum...
