Post DFI TUNING SHOPS IN NEW JERSEY?

Hey would anyone know a good DFI tuner/programmer and shop to tune up my car in the Jersey City, New Jersey area. I'm tired of giving my money to my old mechanic who says one thing this week and something different the next and who does'nt appreciate a good customer.

Thanks,
DEE

If you don't mind the drive.... try Second Street Speed, Perkasie, PA. Authorized installers/tuners for Accel/DFI, FAST, MoTeC, E'motive, etc., builders/tuners of the quickest LT1 on the planet...9.04@155mph.

Bob Ida in Morganville does Accel/DFI its about 40-45 min. ride from jc on RT 9 and Texas road. Try a search for Ida Automotive. Hear he is good but very expensive.

Thumbs up

Talk to Julio at CARTEK. He's a very knowledgeable tuner. He has years of experience in building and tuning race engines and makes a HELL of a great set of heads!

Whatever you do, Don't go to Cartek.
I took my car there for a stumbling, bogging, problem. They said it was opti spark. Well, being I trusted them, I payed 1150 dollars for install, needless to say I had to hound him every day to work on my car, cause they only take pride in cars that they personally know the owners. After all this, my car still ran like garbage and they NOW said my whole engine needs a rebuild. If they were good, they would have diagnosed this from the beginning. Needless to say, after my rebuild, I still have this problem. Bunch of jerks they are. They are only money hungry and take advantage of inexperienced people. I am in search of a good mechanic who knows how to fix late model Camaros, and not just looking to trial and error parts at my expense. I am in Linden NJ.

Not sure quite on how far exactly he is from you, but for DFI, somewhere in New York (Not sure of the town), I'd go to Job Spetter. Regarded as probably the best Accel DFI tuner in the Nation.
