I also recently purchased the LT1 edit software in order to do my own tweeking however I discovered afterward that I can't read or edit ED's tune because he locks them out some kind of way.

My short terms read 50% and other problems include some knock retard at idle through the entire RPM band even with 100 race fuel. engine stumbles at WOT and when returning to idle.
Well that changes a lot when you say who tuned it :-(
If the STFTs are that high, either he set the injector flow or MAF tables wrong or some type of leak.
If both sides have the same trim values look for the injector value being tuned wrong or a airflow issue.
Also you need to see if he tuned so that car is stuck in a open loop, PE mode via the scanner.
Also look at the injector pulse width, if its that lean the injectors would have large mSec times or the fuel delivery sytem is at fault.

Sorry to say but you might be better off demanding wright unlock your PCM and starting over with a GM calibration and have someone really custom tune for your engine makeup.

yeah..My left & right trim values are even and it does enter closed loop however it runs like total **** when in open loop.
I've been very unsatisfied Ed's tune and service. I searched thoughly for any intake and/or exhaust leaks. I'm convinced the problem is in the tune even though John at Ed's claims the tune is good, problem is mechanical.
I had Bryan at PCMforless email me a new tune. He said all I have to do is load his tune and it will overwrite Ed's, I'm just waiting for the PCMCIA serial card adapter to come in for my laptop. Hopefully Bryans tune will get me real close or if not at least his can be tweeked.

Thats what I always assumed.... guess I should probably try to find out if thats actually right

Anyway. Good luck getting any answers from autotap

B&B electronics, the company that hosts autotap. They are a real pain to deal with.

I was finally able to retrieve ED Wright's tune from my PCM. Can someone take a look at it and let me know why my INT's are at 50% and BLM at 25%?
I can send it via email.

It appears Ed has my injectors set too high. I have Bosch 30#'s and he has my injector size set at 7.764 gm/s.

Re: Data logging for a '96 OBDII

If you mean the injector flow table the values should be somewhere around 4.xx
7.xx would be a much larger injector

on my LT1 Edit program it's listed under "injector size". I can email you the Lt1 file however I think were talking about the same thing, infact I had someone else tell me that it should be in the 4.xxx range.

Re: Data logging for a '96 OBDII

you would need to email me the flash file so I can see exactly how it was tuned.
