Data Error and all DTC Codes present in Datamaster?
Data Error and all DTC Codes present in Datamaster?
I just got datamaster installed and running in my 93 Camaro. The motor is a new 383 that I built and got running a few weeks ago. The other day I logged about 10 minutes of easy driving in Datamaster just to get a feel for how the car is running.
The problem is that every third frame or so of data in Datamaster has the 'Data Err' light on. Also, during the drive if I monitored the DTC codes, it seems like every DTC code is hit at least once. There is only 1 code (code 26) that is permanatly set since i removed the Air pump and haven't programmed it out yet.
I can email the Datamaster file to anyone that would like to take a look at it. I'm just wondering why I keep getting the Data Error flag and also why it seems like the computer is randomly outputting DTC codes and not storing them?
Thanks for any help,
Rob

Well, I believe I might have found the problem. I was speaking with one person who had the same problem an for him it turned out it was caused by using a power inverter.
I'm assuming I have the same problem since my data cable and power inverter are laying together on the floor. There must be interference from the power inverter getting picked up by the data cable.
