Computer in Roadmaster/Caprice same as Z28?

Is the computer in a Roadmaster/Caprice the same as a Z28's? Mine is a 95 Z and I'm looking for another computer as a backup for my original/programmed one. Do I need to get another 95 one or can I use a 94 as well? Thanks!

94-95 PCM's are the same in both F-body & B-body, B-bodies are Caprice/Impala/Roadmaster/Cadilac Fleetwoods, all use the same PCM as the F-bodies (our cars) and even Y-bodies (corvettes) durring those years, also using the same LT1s except the B-bodies had Iron heads & 2 knock sensors LOL.

Matt.

I matched the service number on my original one with one from a 94 Z 16188051. One guy at a junkyard said that needed to be done or the prom had to be changed. I don't know if he knew what he was talking about or not so I at least matched the service number. Thanks guys!

The vette pcms are different from B and F body pcms. A person could use the Y body pcm in the B/F, but the F/B body pcm would not function properly in the vette due to the control of the electronic dash, by the pcm, in the vette. 94/95 F/B fody pcm is #16188051. The 94/95 Y body pcm is #16181333.
