Re: Cc306

You will eventually need head work done on that car!!! That cam makes tons of hp but only if you open the engine up!! Plus you NEED Headers you won't see much of a difference until you let the engine breath!! I have a CC306 and I love it but it will breath lots of air! Stock heads suck for it! they need ported and worked over quite a bit or go with stage two aftermarket heads.
As far what tables need changed I don't know for sure... The idle will need to be bumped a little and there are some other things that need changed but I don't remember them.

What kind of airflow in GPS are you seeing on your logs? I have basically the same combo and just want to have some data to compare to.

That time is insane, with that MPH you could be really close to a 11.9x. I ran a 12.48 @ 109.3 so you are a full 6 MPH faster. If you cut a good 60' you would have a killer ET.

Do you have any Datamaster logs of your car? I am curious to airflow readings with the 306 cam.

Thats pretty uncommon to see those kinds of numbers with that cam on stock heads!! Pretty impressive though! Did you do any self porting or Polishing?
Thats what I did to mine. i don't have any numbers yet but The cam feels real strong!

Not really uncommon - back when I had a cc306 cam and stock heads, my traps were in the 114.5mph range (completely stock engine except exhaust, cam, and CAI)... someone else on my local list had a cc306 and stock heads, and ran 113+ mph range. Both of us had full weight Trans Ams with leather, ect.

Re: Cc306

I have the stock heads, and a CC306 cam and it runs AWESOME.... except for tuning issues. I ported and polished the heads on my own... nothing too serious though... but it runs FAST. Nobody I've spoken with who has the stock heads and that cam have said anything about it not running strong.
