Car stays into Open loop... could this be the work of PCMforLESS?

I never tuned my car yet, but while data logging it's always in OPEN LOOP. I don't know what the problem is. I replaced the 02's and the Cooland sensor seems to work. Could Alvin @ PCMforLESS did this when I got a tune for my Hotcam kit?

I really need this fixed because my gas mileage SUCKS, my vacuum is (12.5 in/hg) too low (agree?) so I'm thinking about changing my Closed TPS spark advance to get more vacuum... Does this sound right to anyone? Spark Advance is @ 21* at idle, does this seem high or low? I read on another post that that's about where it should be with a STOCK cam.... Help?

Thanks for looking, I appreciate it.

I suppose something could be wrong with the burn on the chip.
Have you contacted pcmforless?

As far as the idle timing...yeah, I think that's too low. I'd be up around 26-28 degrees...had good luck with the hotcam there.

This is Alvin with PCMFORLESS I don't know if i'll get in trouble talking here but here goes..

I don't set the cars to stay in open loop. Is the car setting any trouble codes? What do the O2 voltage look like before you start the car?

Theres alot of things this could be, sometimes the computer seems to realize the O2's going cold at a idle and a quick flash back to open loop is normal. It should definately get into closed loop while driving.

12.5mpg is also on the low side. I suspect the vaccum, openloop, and crappy gasmileage all apart of the same problem.

It should be in the 60kpa range at least at idle, around high 20ish degrees @ idle.

Thanks Alvin... is there anyway I could send you the chip and you could check it out? Maybe adjust the timing? Would you need my mods?

I havn't checked out the voltage before starting, but I have replaced to 02s... and I'm clueless...

I never had longtubes when you first tuned it, would there be any changes to the tune to accomodate them? I realize they might take longer to heat up since they're further away, but I let it run for 30 minutes of driving and still in OPEN LOOP...

Help...?

I don't see why anyone would be upset with you for posting here.
You're not advertising your services at all, just doing a little customer service.

I havn't recieved anything from you. Since I havn't got anything, would you mind posting your number here, or PM'ing me? Thanks. I'm still in the progress of getting my 'homemade' ALDL communicater to work, but I'm almost there.

I scanned my car with our shop's Snap-On modis scanner! That's how I knew what was going on...

Oh yeah I have changed my e-mail address a few months ago, so maybe you're sending it to my old address, here's my new one:
