Tunercat free eval question

I downloaded a free 30 dial trial version of tunercat from their website. But it didnt come with any files to open up so I could check out tunercat. So where would I get a file that would work with the evaluation program? Just wanted to check it out before i bought either it or lt1 edit.

Thanks

Jason

The EVAL version comes with def 42 (1227747 87 - 91 C/K Truck, Van, 4.3L, 5.7L & 7.4L) which is really not useful unless you have that truck. To try it on your LT1, you will need to purchase the $20 EE/EEB definition file.

that is ok. i just wanted to see how it looked.

so it isnt a bin file?? seems like i tried some 42 file and it couldnt read it or something. I iwll try again. Thanks madwolf

BTW, is there anything that the 30 day eval program wont do? Or is it the full blown version, just only for 30 days?

Thanks

The EVAL version should read a 42 bin. To read EE (94-95 LT1) bins, you will need a TDF file. (Tunercat Definition File)
Yes, the demo is the full version for 30 days.

Ohhhh I see. YOu have to have a def file so the program will know how to read a bin file from that type of car. I see now.

Thanks madwolf.

Anyone know where I can get a bin file for that type of car? Just so I can check out all the paramerters and stuff>? Well then again, it still would be dffit since it wouldnt be an lt1 def file.
