In Car Laptop Stands

What do people do to hold their laptops in their cars? I have always just laid it on the passengers seat but I don't like doing that while racing and I want to be logging data.

Are there commercially available stands like the cops use?

Re: In Car Laptop Stands

I glued brackets to the sides of my laptop and run a strap under the seat to clamp it down. Works great and very cheap.

I lay mine down in the seat too. Helps stability of the computer if you close the lid while you run.

I know what you mean... I just use the passenger seat (or a lucky passenger can hold onto it). FWIW, at my local track, they won't let you race with any loose/unsecured items in the passenger compartment; so at the moment, using my laptop at the track is no go.
