Canister Purge effect on BLMs
Canister Purge effect on BLMs
I've been going over a DataMaster log file of my motor and I noticed that when the CCP (charcoal canister purge) solenoid is energized it effects my fuel trims. I normally have a split fuel trim problem with the passenger side running a richer than the drivers side. Both banks are running rich as evidenced by carbon fouled plugs, but I haven't been able to find the cause.
Anyway, when the canister purge is open full the fuel trims will go from say 150 and 160 down to 123 and 115, bank 1 vs. bank 2. This happens within the same fuel trim cell, so it's not because it is jumping between cells. Is this something anyone has noticed as normal? Anyone care to have a look at this DataMaster file?
