Question Can someone help with some trouble codes i got with datamaster?

I finally got my car working again . It had a hydro locked motor. So I replaced it with a freshly rebuilt one.

But im having some small problems. Like my fans always turn on 10 secs after i turn on the car and they stay on till i turn off the car.

So i used datamaster to see if i can get a clue on what is going on.

Here is what I got from the Engine Diagnostic Codes window:
  • MALF 43: ESC Fail

And I got alot more in the Engine Status Bits
window

  • Bit# 5: 1 = Oil Level Switch
  • Bit# 4: 1 = Oil Change Reset Switch
  • Bit# 3: 1 = Power Steering Pressure Switch
  • Bit# 2: 1 = Heated Windshield Request
  • Bit# 5: 1 = Transmission Mode C
  • Bit# 3: 1 = Transmission Mode A
  • Bit# 2: 1 = Perf Switch Pressed
  • Bit# 0: 1 = TCC Brake Switch
  • Bit# 3: 1 = Enabled Shift B
  • Bit# 2: 1 = Enabled Shift A
  • Bit# 1: 1 = TCC Enable
  • Bit# 1: 1 = Fan 2 Relay
  • Bit# 0: 1 = Fan 1 Relay
  • Bit# 6: 1 = Engine MALF's Occurred
  • Bit# 5: 1 = CAT Converter Overtemp
  • Bit# 2: 1 = Right O2 Ready
  • Bit# 1: 1 = Left O2 Ready
  • Bit# 0: 1 = Engine Closed Loop

And here is a screen shot on what was going on.

Can anyone help me understand this?

Thanks In advancED!!

I think the bit winder is just telling you the status of whatever. BInary uniT 1 or 0, on or off, yes or no, peanut butter or jelly

Code 43- Knock sensor circuit. Check ecm for open or short to ground. Check routing of wiring, including spark plug wires near knock senor wiring, reroute as necessary. Replace knock sensor.

Once your trouble code is fixed, the fans will go off.
