Can a OBDII be reflashed to become a OBDI?

We put a 97 LT1 motor into a 68 Camaro, the car will start and run for about 30 sec. then die. The fuel pressure is good.

I figured changing the pcm to a OBDI would be the cheaper way to go, instead of buying o2 sims and scanning software etc.

Can an OBDII be reflashed to an OBDI?

No... its a different protocol to flash it.. So you would have to buy ls1edit to do it... The SPS will not flash the obdii pcm to obdi for being a different way of flashing the PCM...

Either buy ls1edit or... obdi conversion... the obdii controls better the converter, specially if high stall.

That's what I thought, thanks Highlander.
