Benefit of alot of timing at a high KPA and low RPM?

It seems that the stock tunes have a low amount of timing in the high KPA areas/low RPM areas compared to those of modified cars.

Is there a benefit to advancing the timing a great deal at in this spot as far as idle quality etc. What exactly would advancing timing in this area do?

For example one file I was looking at had 19* at 100 KPA/400 rpm compared to the stock 3*

From: so close I can taste it...
When was the last time your car was at 100kpa and 400rpm?
The only time I messed with timing in my car at high map and low rpm....I ended up putting it right back to stock. Lots of knock retard.
Also, idle spark is controlled by the closed tps spark advance table, not your main spark advance table. So that wouldn't have any effect on it either.

True, your car is never going to see those values. It did seem strange to me.

Ill look to my closed tps spark advanced tables than...is there a relationship between spark advance and map in the lower RPM range? Ie, advancing spark will yield____ and retarding it will_____, etc
