swap question about my computer HELP
i figured which wires needed to be changed to make coil fire and fuel pump to come on but now there's only one problem......
the anti-theft decoder and the resistor in my key does not match up with the v8 computer.... this causes the engine to crank up for three seconds then shut off..... is there any way i can take my car and computer to a dealership and let them reset my computer to match my old v6 key and decoder?
or do i have to get the decoder and key out of the car that i pulled the engine out of?
i appreciate ANY suggestions

If the starter is moving, the pump is pumping and the coil is firing, then the only problem left is to disable the VATS from the computer so that it allows the injectors to pump. You can do it through either a VATS bypass box, or through programming.
