Bad PCM?

Hi!

I have a miss in #2 cylinder that I have narrowed down to the pcm. The things that led me here are as follows:

- verified compression in the cylinder
- verified spark at the plug
- swapped injectors
- verified B+ at the injector
- verified the wire harness to the pcm from the injector
- I also verified that the pcm is not grounding the circuit for this injector.

Can this be caused by or fixed by reflashing the pcm with tunercat. Should I just go out and buy another pcm. This is obd1 95 lt1 transplanted into triumph Tr7.

thanks
Curt Sr.

Sounds like the PCM is faulty. Reflashing will not help. You will need to either get it repaired or get a different one. I don't know of anyone who fixes injector drivers though.

Thanks for the reply. If I can't find a replacement locally, I will be in touch to get one from you.

Did you check the grounds for the PCM?

I will check them again. Is it possible that a poor ground could cause an injector failure that only effects one cylinder? Thanks for the help on this

I was wondering if a bad ground would damage the injector driver.
